I believe in the supposed power of Hematite for healing purposes (I have arthritis and poor circulation), so I enjoy wearing this bracelet for its healing potential. I had an identical bracelet like this years ago and the string eventually broke over time. So far, this bracelet has not broken. It's a very comfortable, nice-feeling and nice-looking bracelet (I wear it on my ankle when I go to bed), even if it doesn't heal.
